VILLA BLUE VEDERE

Alles verliep vlot, de ophaling van de sleutels, alles was goed voorzien. De eigenaars hadden al iets lekkers voorzien bij aankomst, zodat we niet ASAP naar de winkel moesten lopen. Leuk zwembad, toffe buiten keuken.

We hadden pech met de afvoer van het bad, zodat we dit maar éénmalig hebben kunnen gebruiken. Was ook niet direct te herstellen. We hebben 2 suggesties om het beter te maken, een beter koffie machine, de koffie is niet echt warm. En iets om schaduw te hebben op het voorterras, waar het een prachtig uitzicht is, tijdens het ontbijt. De buur heeft 5 honden en die kunnen soms lawaai maken, als je rond loopt in de tuin. Maar na een paar dagen waren ze ons gewend.

The house had a beautiful view, an awesome outdoor kitchen and our family enjoyed the pool. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and everything we needed during our stay. Our host was wonderful! She met us in town to show us the way to the house. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Nothing! It was not a problem for us, since we rented a car, but it would be difficult to access without one.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cette belle villa. Tout est pensé pour que vous vous y sentiez bien. L'extérieur est formidable avec une belle piscine très bien entretenue, une cuisine extérieure très pratique et un jardin très agréable. L'intérieur est aussi très bien, tout confort, avec 2 terrases permettant de profiter du lever du soleil et du coucher, un vrai bonheur. La villa est dans une oliveraie, c'est donc le calme et la quiétude assurés. Elle est très proche de Platanias (5mn en voiture) avec beaucoup de restaurants et de commerces. Juste un peu plus bas de la villa, il y a une taverne traditionnelle et familiale où vous êtes très bien reçus. Enfin, le propriétaire est très prévenant et réactif, l'accueil était parfait avec des petites douceurs et un gâteau délicieux préparé par la maman. Notre séjour en Crète a été incroyable de part la beauté de l'île, l''accueil formidable des crétois et la villa a beaucoup participé à ces vacances inoubliables. Nous rêverions d'y retourner.

Pool area is super nice with nice veranda, as well as living room and balcony on upper floor with great views. Few minutes from main road yet in a small quiet area. Perfect for our family with 2 young children. Hosts are very nice and easy to communicate

The Villa Blue Vedere is a fantastic place. We were a family of 5, and the house i spacious and comfortable and the outdoor area with the beautyful pool and the garden area around is just amazing. This is a very safe spot to book and I would highly recommend it. Going by car you will be downtown Platanias in 5 minutes. The host helped us out upon our arrival and met us at the nearby police station. Very easy to find with google maps, 35/40 minutes from the airport. Very nice balconys in the 2. nd floor one on each side of the house, in the morning we had breakfest just outside the kitchen on a balcony turning west, and in the evening you can sit on the most spacious one turning east and enjoy the view of Platanias, Agia Marina and have glimpse of Chania far out and the mountains. The bedrooms a spacious, bathroom as well, the living room is huge and the kitchen is just what you need, easy for two adults to cook and prepare food. There is also a very nice barbeque area. I had a 9 seater rental car and there was no problem to get through the street up to the house, and one can park in the street or at the house behind looked doors. Getting in touch with the host was very easy, always responding quickly and with high care. Easy to plan both arrival and departure. Thank you for our stay - we highly appreciate the hospitality :-)

Excelente villa numa zona tranquila mas muito perto de várias zonas de interesse. A casa tem uma zona exterior com imenso para aproveitar, sendo a piscina para as crianças algo bastante diferente e muito interessante. A dona da casa que nos recebeu quando chegámos também foi muito simpática.

Erg gezellig en hygiënisch huisje. Mooi uitzicht op zee én op de bergen. Zeer rustig gelegen en toch dichtbij meerdere supermarkten, restaurants, winkeltjes, apotheek, .. Zeer goed onderhouden zwembad, prachtige afgesloten tuin. Zeer goede bedden. Zeer goed uitgeruste keuken. Wij verbleven hier 7 nachten en de tijd vloog voorbij! We hadden echt spijt om dit leuke huis te moeten achterlaten... Gastvrouw zeer bereikbaar via WhatsApp of telefoon. Zeer goed contact bij vragen. Ruime parkeergelegenheid.

Sprawny kontakt z właścicielem. Proces zameldowania i wymeldowania też bezproblemowy. Sama willa znajduje się na uboczu miasteczka wśród gaju oliwnego co gwarantuje spokój i prywatność. Po zameldowaniu czekały na nas prezenty powitalne, co było miłą niespodzianką.

Jedyny minus to słabo działające wifi, ale to chyba maksimum dostępne na tym terenie.

Position of kitchen

Our recent visit to Crete was memorable, thanks to our stay at Villa Blue Vedere (Plantania area), near Chania. Traveling with two boys aged 8 and 10, we found this villa to be a good choice for our vacation. The host was very responsive and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The villa was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, and the pool and barbecue facilities provided great opportunities for family time. Nestled in a beautiful olive grove, the villa offered stunning views from the top veranda, where we enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning. This tranquil setting was a highlight of our stay. During our stay, we visited Balos Beach, probably the most beautiful beach we have ever seen, and spent an enchanting evening exploring Chania Old Town. Both are must-do activities when staying in this area. If you do decide to visit Balos Beach, make sure to go early (arrive at the gate at 08:00) as it gets very busy from 11:30 onwards as ferries and tour groups arrive. Overall, Villa Blue Vedere provided a wonderful and relaxing retreat with its beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities. We recommend it for families seeking a peaceful getaway in Crete.

However, it’s important to note that the villa is somewhat secluded, requiring your own transport as there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance. As a family, we typically prefer staying within walking distance of amenities, shops, and activities.
