pleasant and quiet location. very spacious, well furnished property with beautifully maintained garden terrace.

"Friendly hosts, remote location"

The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Due to the remote location of the villa, the taxi from the airport cost €50. Two taxi drivers were unable to find the villa, even though they had put the address into their sat nav. One taxi driver spoke to the host on the phone and still couldn't find the villa. Taxis from the villa to Funchal cost €25. Their are no shops within walking distance.

"We had a great, relaxed and comfortable stay at Quintinha da Romana"

Beautiful place with a traditional Portugese interior, a very well kept garden and a great view. Also, Mrs. Cristina was very friendly and helpful. We communicated with her using Google translate.

Wifi was not bad, but the wifi signal was insufficient in one of the bedrooms, the kitchen and around the house. The cause may be the thick walls of the building.
