Fabulous to have the whole place to ourselves! We were a party of seven and we charged around having great fun. The villa had a fab huge kitchen dining area and very comfy beds

I loved the villa's exquisite design that perfectly harmonized with the natural surroundings. The private pool was a serene oasis, and the breathtaking sunsets from the terrace were simply magical. The attentive staff made our stay feel personalized and special, while the lush gardens created a peaceful retreat. Every detail, from the comfortable furnishings to the delicious local cuisine, contributed to an unforgettable experience in this tropical paradise.

Smell in one of the rooms really did dampen the mood as children couldn't sleep in the room most nights.

We stayed at Villa Katoni for 5 nights in April. As the photos show, the outside area of the villa is idyllic. With many spots to enjoy the beautiful view. The pool was a great size for our group of 9.

Unfortunately though some aspects of our stay left us disappointed. Air conditioning was unreliable, and didn’t function at all in the master bedroom for our entire stay. After 4 days of raising this with staff the unit was finally looked at and confirmed to be faulty. It was not repaired in time for our check out. Also of note for us is the fact none of the bedrooms can be fully enclosed from the outside. The bathroom/bedroom doors have open gaps through them, which allow mosquitoes to pass into the bedrooms throughout the night. Mosquito nets were on some of the beds, (but not all) and the nets that were there did not reach the bottom of the bed so mosquitoes were able to fly under and into the netted area. Despite being religious with repellent our group of nine were covered in mosquito bites by the end of our stay. With dengue fever endemic in Indonesia, we would have chosen another villa had we known about this prior. Some kind of gesture from the owner or manager of the villa, acknowledging the air conditioning problem would have been appreciated. But there was nothing, and in fact as we were boarding the boat to leave Nusa Lembongan we were approached by the villa manager asking for more money relating to pick up charges they forgot to include on the final invoice. This left a bad taste and confirmed our sense this villa is not overly focused on guests having a great experience. Despite the beautiful view we would make a different choice next time.

Katoni Villa is beautiful, the views are breathtaking and the whole outdoor living experience is from a postcard. The pool is a delight. The staff are wonderful and are available throughout the day to serve you breakfast, clean the rooms, etc. and Rosa will assist you promptly via whatsapp with any reservations at restaurants or day trips if you would like the help. Breakfast is great and plentiful and we also had the BBQ at the villa and the flavours were delicious. Had a similar meal the following night at a restaurant and Katoni's was nicer. Definitely recommend the experience. There's heaps of water available at no extra cost, and a big selection of ice creams in the freezer that you can purchase at a reasonable price. Getting around is easy via taxi, you don't need to ride a scooter - we didn't.

The interiors / bedrooms could do with a few improvements and extra love to ensure that Katoni remains a premium property inside and out.

Katoni villa…..one word - WOW!!! We booked to come to the island for the first time with no idea what to expect and were absolutely blown away from the moment our feet hit the sand getting off the boat from Bali. The staff were exceptional in every way. Rosa was an amazing host for us, no request was an issue and was organised to the finest detail. The team in the villa were also amazing, Rosa & Rasty cooked us fabulous food and were so meticulous in their work. We had heard that the island had experienced some terrible weather before our arrival, however there was no evidence of that when we got there. This villa is amazing, all the creature comforts and then more. Amazing views, a fabulous pool and endless space to have a cheeky afternoon nap! I couldn’t recommend any higher to come to Katoni Villa - you definitely would not be disappointed! It’s also super close to great dining options with free transport - cherry on top!

Air conditioning was not cool enough especially in upstairs bedroom ( but was exceptionally hot whilst we were there ) Don’t assume staff will change towels you have to ask

Fantastic property. Well looked after. Amazing pool overlooking the ocean. The staff are absolutely amazing. This is the second time we have stayed at Katoni Villa and will return again.

The pool was large with a shallow section which was great for our 2 year old. The view of the ocean and seaweed farms was lovely.

The villa itself is incredibly run down and the above ceilings, particularly in the upstairs ensuite were full of termites. The hot water system was sparking dangerously, along with the lighting in the shower. The hot water was never fixed while we were there despite promises to have it fixed. The front bifold doors were faulty and did not latch, let alone lock. This prevented the kids from feeling secure at night. The villa also has no security at night so due to its remote location, lack of support from management, no hot water AND electrical faults, we left 4 days early. We are still waiting on their promise of a refund.. Such a shame!
