Mai Tai, luxury 3 bedroom villa

The hosts met us at the property on arrival late in the evening and spent some time showing us around the rooms and explaining the property. They were happy to answer any questions however since we'd been travelling for over 24 hours to get there, our questions were limited. The property itself was quite large and the pool was amazing. It's located about 10 minutes walking from Cheong Mon beach which was down a hill and through the SALA resort. Being located in Cheong Mon the pace is a lot less frenetic than other parts of the island which we very much enjoyed (you will need some transportation if you wish to see more of Samui).

A couple of the appliances were broken (Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Spa) although the Washing machine was replaced during our stay.

The villa was lovely.

It was in need of a little TLC

Spacious rooms, private pool, security, good communication with staff.

No cleaning for 5 nights, can’t get any food from Grab, 7-11 was too far. I had to pay extra 300B for more towels. Pool was very deep. I could not touch my feet to the bottom of pool.

Lovely pool. Size of the villa was wonderful and felt very private. Location a short walk from a beautiful beach, best area on Koh Samui we felt having driven around it.

The 3rd bedroom with a separate access would only suit those not travelling with young children. We did not use it. We stayed for 5 nights and had no housekeeping during this time.

Rust on shower head seems to be an issue in many villas in ko samui small issue

Very spacious, the pool was always warm. The villa is beautiful and we had a wonderful stay.

I would recommend they provide water on the first day you arrive. We have rented villas before and there is always water provided. Luckily the lady that helped us check in drive us to the minimart to buy some. Some of the plates and glasses were dirty on arrival. It wasn’t an issue as we cleaned them but other people may find this not so good.

Villa Mai Tai provided us with a fabulous base in which to relax whilst enjoying exploring Koh Samui with our 2 daughters aged 6 & 11. Addy the host couldn’t have been more accommodating arrangement a boat trip, Thai massage & taxis for us at super short notice. She had lots of good recommendations for us. For the price we paid it was a fabulous family holiday and I would definitely return. The pools is fantastic with super comfy sunbeds. We all slept well & the air con worked well in combination with the fans.

The Villa decor is getting a little tired in places. There were lots of plastic cups to use by the pool but only 3 tall glasses & 2 wine glasses (villa sleeps 6) Some of the appliances didn’t work eg Nespresso machine which was swiftly replaced but also the dishwasher. On the face of it the villa was clean but behind the beds and the top of the wardrobes were filthy. The third bedroom is not accessed via the main Villa but from the pool area. It would be an issue for an adult but might not be ideal To have a child in the room. Our girls shared the twin room which was off the lounge so it an issue for us.

Amazing property. Very clean and spacious, great value for money. Host was very helpful and friendly, sorted us car hire easily and taxis ect. Lovely outdoor space; pool and barbecue, alongside great communal areas inside to social. Perfect property for a group.

Some appliances didn’t work, the toaster, washing machine, dishwasher. This was disappointing and could be improved upon as all these appliances were advertised. Aside from this the stay was amazing and we would recommend .
