Villa Amalia Resort for family & friends !

Carlos is a helpful, kind and considerate host. His advice on restaurants and on taxis was very useful. Having a meal waiting for us as he knew we were going to be late was exceptionally considerate. The villa itself is very spacious with excellent beds and comfortable living areas, inside and out. As other reviews have said the property would benefit from some tender,loving,care and some modernisation but do not be put off. The pool is excellent. We hired a large 9 seater van and would say that if you can manage with less (6/7 seater) then do as ours was not the easiest vehicle to manoeuvre around the local roads! The small grocery store just over the road has day to day needs but you will need a more extensive shop at some time and there are supermarkets (eg Lidl) in a reasonably short drive. We did not use the local bus but the train links are excellent. A great place for a large group wanting to laze but also have a good base for the obvious destinations.
