Villa Tropical Garden with Pool

Breakfast is not included. Location is good in a sense that it is secluded. But bad in that the dirt road leading to the place is really muddy and rugged. Almost inaccessible. Hence no way to go out for a walk or stroll around. Anyway it is way too hot to wander around the neighborhood. And if we have not booked a van in advance to take us there or go out, it is almost impossible to get any transport. We did ask the driver to take us grocery shopping while our car rental is not yet expired. It cost us extra 500 peso just to drive us to the meat market which is a 30 minute round trip.

The place is too inaccessible. It costs too much to get transport to and from the place. There is brown out several times in the second night we were there, so be prepared.

I like that we got the whole house to ourselves and they have a pool. The number of rooms to accommodate 8 guests is more than enough. I also like that they have almost everything you need in the kitchen

I don't want to sound nitpicky but here are the things that the property could improve on 1. Cleanliness The fans that were there to be use are very dusty. I am not kidding. It seems it has been awhile since it had a good cleaning. The lounge chairs by the pool have bird poops and grasses. It was not cleaned at all. Kitchen - if you move the fridge you will see that the back area is dirty. Also, when we turned on the fridge it has a funky smell. 2. Rugs Availability - there are no bathroom rugs to wipe your wet feet. when we asked the caretaker they said they only have rugs for the door 3. no generator/solar power. i know they have mentioned this on the page. would be nice though if they think of installing one due to the power outages in Palawan.

House was very peaceful and spacious. The pool and lawn was great with the kids. Bedrooms very large. Hosts communicated superbly and were very helpful.

It is far from everywhere so a car of some form essential.

We had a blast. Used it as a middle base to in PSS for the San Vicente to Balabac trip (and back). Left kids\yayas there while we was in Balabac. Amazing house. Have absolutely all necessary for a short\long stay. Hostess is absolutely amazing. House is clean and very spacious. Perfect place for a big family trip. Only possible downside is, if you don't have\rent car, you might be in some troubles. PS for management. Aircon in room on the first floor acting weird and not cooling sometimes. Aircon in the master bedroom (facing the pool side) is leaking a bit of water (condensate) inside the room\floor. Prob both - need some maintenance. PSS: House is pretty clean in general. Housekeeping make a good job. But maybe it will make sense for an owner, to hire some "deep cleaning" company (not sure if those exist in PSS) for polishing outside walls, terrace flooring, etc.

The only thing I didn't like, is the fact we had to leave this place so soon :-)

Excellent villa which is great value-for-money. Lovely indoor and outdoor spaces. Living area is a huge open plan space with a well-equipped kitchen. Bedrooms are large and comfy, most with an en-suite bathroom. Lovely pool which is great for kids and adults. Lawn for ball games. Lovely views. Owner (Werner) is lovely - as are his staff. Werner organised our pick up from the airport and also a car to get us to El Nido. His staff bought coals and cooked us a lovely BBQ, Staff (a young couple) live in the grounds - totally delightful - couldn't have been more helpful/lovely. Local beaches are great. Werner has a printed guide (and good local knowledge) and helped our group (7 people) with some excellent recommendations. Highly recommended.
