Casas do Capitão - Paiva Valley - Pool and Nature

Adorei tudo, a casa está impecável, super limpa, o espaço circundante muito agradável, o jardim com a piscina é só maravilhoso. Tivemos uns dias extremamente agradáveis, sossegados. A d. Piedade é um amor, muito prestavel e super agradável, gostei muito de a conhecer. Votaremos por mais tempo. Obrigada

This is an amazing little place inside a lush green areal. It's a levelled garden/area, with a villa on top (can only see it from down), a pool on the mid level, and two small beautiful stones houses at the bottom. The houses appear to have been used as cellar/workplace/quarters of the servants to the villa. They are nicely converted into basic but beautiful apartments. We were really happy with our stay there.

the property is amazing, well decorated, comfortable and equipes. also, the outside area is beautiful.

next to a fast route, though the house has good acoustic isolation, when outside it can break the tranquility you would otherwise expect.

We liked the pool very much

The beds were terrible. The kitchen was not suitable for 4 persons: a very small fridge.... 4 people could not sit, there was only a couch for 2. The dinnertabe was too low; our knees did not fit under it. The table outside is fixed to the ground. You can not move it. It is also way too low and the chairs are not comfortable also. So we lacked comfort!

Beautiful old house in a nice green environment.. The pool area is wonderful. The oranges from the trees there were so tasty! It was nice to have a small barbecue area outside, but watch out for the cat, she stole one of our burgers ;-)

The TV wasn't working, the shower drain wasn't working wel in one bathrooml, and the system for opening the fence didn't work well at all: we had to clean the sensor and try multiple times before it would finally open

Character and swimming pool and courtyard

Lack of direction in the first place followed by lack of access information ( no prior knowledge of gate or code), no hand rail downstairs, clothes storage facilities poor, chest of drawers unfit for purpose, no hooks anywhere, roof truss in double bedroom structurally unsound, not enough seating accommodation for 4 adults, general lack of information including wi-fi password, musty smell, no mirrors in bedrooms and basic welcome pack would have been appreciated

beautiful house, good amenities. The house itself is charming and the idea around it is nice. You have ability to do your own washing and the pellets were provided for the pellet heater. There were heaters in each room as well.

The smell of mold was overwhelming. The whole house was damp and smelly. Parking quite difficult and it should be noted that this house is right next to a busy road with a lot of traffic that you hear continuously. What should be said as well is that next to the house there is another house that can be rented out as well. All of this was not clear when booking the property. Very disappointing.

The houses are beautiful, clean and comfortable. We visited during January and even in the cold nights, we were warm and comfortable. The garden is lovely with lots of orange trees and space for our dogs to play and discover.

The only thing was the road close to the house, but as the property is well fenced it was not an issue.
