Villa Penyon

Villa Penyon had spacious areas for the large family to enjoy. Ketut and Wyan, who took care of the house, were kind and helpful, assisting us with whatever we needed. They made us a delicious breakfast every day. Everything in the house worked well during our stay, and it’s a great base for exploring the island. An extra plus for the two massage tables available and the convenience of having two massage therapists come to the house.

The cleaning in the rooms could have been better. We had visits from mice in our rooms, and it wasn’t pleasant to find mouse droppings in the bed. At the same time, we understand that it’s difficult to keep animals out when the houses are built so openly. We were given clean bed linens without having to ask, which felt good.

Ketut was so helpful! The pool was amazing but the roof leaked with the rain.

Stairs were unsafe and I fell down them.

The Villa was perfect for our family holiday!! It had everything we needed and catered really well for all of the children and adults. Ketut and Wayan were very helpful and friendly and assisted us with a couple of bookings. Having them cook and breakfast was a treat and they gave us some great recommendations for local food. We loved our stay and would highly recommend Villa Penyon. Fiona was great to communicate with in the lead up to our visit.

There is plenty of room and when opened up it gets a nice breeze. The views are great. The facilities are perfect. My dealings with Fiona from the start were nothing but simple, everything was so easy! AND THEN, you turn up into the loving smile of Ketut, wow! Ketut and Wayan will literally do anything for you! These two make Villa Penyon even better! Ketut is the kindest person with the biggest smile. I wanted to bring him home! He will tell you about his culture if you ask, he will organise transport and is in contact anytime if needed. Ketut makes this villa stay something even more special on this special island. We will return. Thank you very much Fiona, Ketut and Wayan for helping make unforgettable family memories.

Spacious, clean, beautiful views

Pancakes were awesome, eggs a bit oily, toast undercooked but all in all Ketut and Wayan were awesome and so helpful and accomodating. Would definitely recommend Villa Penyon and stay there again!

The view from upstairs deck and all the bedrooms is great. The pool is lovely and clean. The cliff track to restaurants is beautiful. The in house massages are so relaxing. The owner Fiona is very responsive and allowed us to check in early. But most of all the staff are incredible. I come to Bali five times a year and have met many staff who are lovely. Ketut is notable even amongst those. And Wayan is so smiley and helpful too. I left my dresses hanging in the wardrobe after check out and Ketut brought them to our next destination before I’d even thought about what to do. Can’t say enough. The value for money at this simple but lovely villa is second to none.

Lamps in the bedrooms would have been nice, especially as the overhead lights are all on one switch, so it’s bright or it’s dark. And the wifi is slow. Bit c’mon, you’re in paradise and on island time, so who cares? xx

Ketut and Wayan made the stay excellent, they are excellent hosts, very kind people, always available to answer our questions and to help us book activities. The stay included breakfast. The villa itself is not luxurious but it has everything we need, very good value for money.

The breakfast offer could offer a better coffee. There was an option on the menu but it wasn't available for our stay. Tamarind Bay isn't attractive for sunbathing, swimming nor doesn't offer an sport activity such as SUP or Kayak or surfing but had an easy access to coconut bay which offers all the above.

Villa Penyon was the perfect accommodation for our trip to Lembongan. As a family of 5 with children aged 8-14, there was so much space, and great outdoor/indoor spaces. The villa is well equipped, beautiful breakfasts and a well stocked drinks fridge. The pool was amazing. Ketut and Wayan made sure our stay was great and were very helpful. A nice walk to Mushroom Bay and transport available for other places. Couldn’t recommend it more, we will return for sure!
