Great property with lots of space and a fantastic view. Went with a family group and had a great time. Definitely recommend

why there’s no curtains?

Location cannot be beat. The view and the outdoor property were exceptional. Very roomy.

There were no curtains on any windows, none in the bedrooms and bathrooms though there were houses around, and the basement bedroom windows were accessible from the outside. We three (2 men, 1 woman) felt very exposed at night; windows are huge and everywhere. There were motions sensors in all bedrooms that also looked like cameras which worried the woman of the party. There were outdoor cameras for the alarm system that were connected to a recording device. Were the ones in the bedrooms recording? Covered them up just in case. Sinks, mirrors, bath, shower, toilet bowls had been wiped. The rest of the house was dirty- inside appliances, cupboards, floors, doors, doorknobs, windows, behind and around toilet bowls, toilet paper holders, etc. Not covid safe. Spent four hours cleaning countertops, fridge, stovetop, microwave, tabletops, windows, doorknobs and lightswitches, leatherette sofa, vacuuming and laundering bedding upon arrival. None of the mattresses had mattress covers, sheets were placed directly on mattresses, not sanitary. Mattresses were all, if not outright uncomfortable, basic. Comforter covers had not been washed and smelled like food. Found lint roller with a ton of body hair on it in bathroom; what was it used for? The sheets? King bedframe middle post in master bedroom was broken upon arrival, so the mattress sagged in the middle; two couldn't sleep on it because they would collide in the middle depression. Fixed it only for it to collapse again upon climbing into bed. Main bath showerhead lever was broken upon arrival, low flow faucet made filling bath impractical; only used basement shower. Beautiful deck and view; no outdoor furniture, "just bring out the dining chairs" the manager said. Communication difficult with manager who has minimal knowledge of french and english. Altogether too basic for $500USD/day. Owned by investment company -not innkeeper, clearly- that bought in 2022, now for sale for almost $2 million.

Wonderful location and view!

Some furniture was broken (the bed in the master bedroom). The property has no blind; so no privacy, especially in the bathroom.
