"Comfortable perfect spot for us surrounded by nature."

Fantastic breakfast, some of which we saved for our lunches. We brought simple dinner foods and prepared our own meals. The deck overlooking birding activity was a highlight and the host was so much fun to talk with. Our cottage was very private, the location was quiet except for bird calls and howler monkeys, A birders delight!

It was a little chilly at night but we were prepared for that. Then we moved to the beach the next part of our trip and it was so HOT ;-)

Beautiful property with amazing birds all around. You don’t have to leave your patio to see them! The breakfast was wonderful. Comfortable bed. Elliote is super nice & helpful & we loved Brea❤️

"A lovely host and beautiful property, we're glad we stayed here."

The pineapple was soft and didn't seem fresh-had it been frozen? Fresh eggs, yoghurt, jam, cheese, granola were great. We like dark roast coffee and bought our own at the local supermarket.

The weather was unseasonably cold and rainy. The cottage is well-designed and equipped with a great deck that looks onto the garden and bird feeder. However it felt cold and damp -like our clothes were in the morning. A dehumidifier was provided on the 2nd day and made a big difference. The hot water wasn't very hot. The property is lovely with sloths, 3 species of toucan, bird feeder in our own yard, other birdlife, and a short walk to Heliconian Hanging Bridges next door. Very quiet and peaceful property.

"Wunderbarer Kraftort inmitten der Natur"

Aves de Tierras Altas ist ein wunderbaree Ort inmitten der Natur. Alle Personen sind von Herzen dabei, wir hatten einen schönen Austausch zusammen und viel gelernt. Das Frühstück ist lecker, liebevoll vorbereitet und wird abends jeweils für den nächsten Morgen gebracht.

Pictures don’t do it justice. The view from the balcony is beautiful. There’s acres of property to explore. And everything is so tended for and super clean. Such a peaceful place.

We had a very peaceful stay immersed in nature. The host Eliette was very friendly and helpful, with lots of passion for conservation. The apartment was clean and we really enjoyed the terrace looking out into the forest! We received a delicious home made breakfast each morning

- amazing style, very modern and clean - super comfortable - huge windows to watch the garden and birds, even from the shower - nice terrace - beautiful garden - great food (it was just breakfast, but for us it was enough both for dinner and breakfast :-D) - super well equipped
