Chalet Edelweiss

Beautiful chalet with lots of history in Hermence in the mountains! We stayed for two nights with a group of friends cooking dinner chatting etc and it was perfect. The kitchen was big enough to cook and still have people around. The bedrooms upstairs and below are spacious and the log fire kept us warm. We even ski toured on the Saturday morning off the mountain!

One bathroom was quite small but not a big problem!

We had a great stay in the chalet. Christian was really friendly and made us feel like it was our home immediately. A very tranquil location that we will return to.

The Chalet is located in a remote mountain area with amazing views. It is relatively close to Thyon 2000 ski area, which is accessible by car or by ski lifts. The chalet was clean and very well equipped. The owner of the chalet, Christian, met us there and prepared it, turned on the heating and the fireplace for us, and gave us all the information we needed for our stay and for going around the area. We would very much recommend this chalet to others and hopefully go back soon.

The location is remote and you should know what to expect. For us it was perfect, lots of snow, quiet, and cosy. I can see how this is less suitable for some people. Only one room has a door, the rest are open. It could be a privacy concern for some groups. For us it was ok. There is no living room, no sofa or so to sit down and talk etc. There is a sofa and a TV on the upper floor but we also used it as a bedroom (as there is a double bed there), so we missed a living room area.

Amazing owner - made us feel at home the second we arrived! Surrounded by nature, deer and wildlife around the chalet. Walks on your doorstep. The house is cosy and has everything you could possibly need.

What a hidden Gem. As good as nothing was missing, except the snow, but that was not under the control of the host.

A table cover would have been great. we had small kids with us.

Christian is an extraordinary host! The house is equipped with everything you need starting with whiteware and finishing with dishes and cutlery, coffee maker, dishwasher, games, internet, TV, and more! The location is fairytale! Easily accessible and with an amazing view. An excellent stay!
