Tiny Houses Unique Tayrona - Dentro del Parque Tayrona

it is located in the park so you can start the day early without the crowd but i would recommend a day trip from santa marta instead of staying in the park. there really isn’t much to do in the park and the property is not one where you would be able to chill and relax. the host was largely responsive over whatsapp except regarding our clarification on payment (see below). recommend to book the transport with them as the car will drop you off right outside the property. the alternative is all other transport drops you at the el zaino entrance - you have to take the shuttle bus and then walk 10mins from the main road with all your luggage.

i read so many great reviews about the park and property but was pretty disappointed. the accommodation is really back to basics. no hot water, the shower area flooded from the moment you turn on the water, there isn’t any place to hang wet clothes, a large cockroach fell from the ceiling on our first night and lots of insects everywhere. the restaurant owners were nice but they were not there all the time. the lady chef sometimes took our meal order and was pissed that we couldn’t speak spanish. it wasn’t a great experience trying to order food. the breakfast was very simple - eggs, bread and a drink. we were told that paying for the accommodation by card would have a 6% surcharge but they charged us 6.6% and didn’t respond when asked. perhaps would be better to pay through the booking system instead of at the property.

The communication with Ariadna was wonderful. We received all the detailed information, how to reach the place. Our room was prepared already by 7:30 am. The AC is great. The location is special. You can watch animals at night in front of your house. We had everything we needed.

Really nice and comfortable tiny house. Teally something special. Very new, in the middle of the jungle. With spectacular views through the large floor-to-ceiling windows. Especially the bathroom is impressive.

They share the restaurant with the neighbouring hotel, the restaurant is simpler than the tiny houses. We only had there breakfast, that was a simple colombian one with eggs, unfortunately no juice included. Not easy to find different restaurants in the Park, as it is not advisable to go a long way in the dark (believe me, we tried it out). But a few meter in the direction of the Park entrance comes on the left side a nice restaurant . As there are no curtains, the light of the lamp in the garden lights directly onto the double bed. We moved to the two single beds on the other side

Nice rooms, large. Very good air-conditioning. The kitchenette is basic but there is a fridge, coffee maker, etc. Nice to have. You can use the pool at the other camp around the corner. Good value for money.

The breakfast. Some toast and eggs, that's it. Something you make at home in under 5 minutes. And hardly enough to walk back to your room without being hungry again. I pity the people who say in their review this is a great breakfast.
