Dunroamin Lodge

Gregor and Helen were very helpful with all the information for Dunroamin Lodge,lots of great walks from the lodge with no need to use the car,lodge was equipped with everything that you would require and only minutes from pubs, restaurants and shops.

Really convenient location within walking distance of Aviemore. Very clean, warm and well maintained. The hosts generously provided tea, coffee, toilet rolls, kitchen roll etc. Excellent showers. Would stay again.

Proximity to trainline. We adapted to this during our stay and trains are infrequent about 2 per hour during daytime only. During the high winds some overgrown branches from trees at the back banged on the lodge throughout the night but I'm sure this could be rectified.

Lodge was clean and warm, excellent facilities in the kitchen available, beds comfortable. All what was needed for a short stay.

The reception, restaurant and bar were closed through the full duration of our stay. Planned on having dinner in the restaurant on the 1st night due to the time of arrival and not being familure with that was available in the area. This was a slight inconvenience. No-staff available on the site should you have a question.
