Shifty Chicken Shack

Very cosy cottage, well equipped,clean, we found everything we needed including boarding games and a great collection of DVDs. Beautiful view of the mountains 😍. Good communication with the owners, very clear instructions.

Location was amazing and the onsite cafe was fantastic too - very good food for a reasonable price. The onsite laundry facilities were very easy to use as well. Our Host Debs was very helpful and contactable at all times during our stay. The shack was comfy, the tv was in good working order which was useful in the evenings! It was a great base to explore North Wales! I was 100% recommend this accommodation to others. Our eldest also left a sentimental cap behind which Deb very kindly posted to me, she didn't have to but that's how much of a wonderful host she is! The view from the Shack is fantastic and we got some photos of the stunning stars on our final night too! For reference the Shack was the base for which we visited Conwy Castle Conwy Parkrun Splashworld at Wrecsam Anglesey sea zoo Pili Pala World Yr Wyddfa Capel Cerig Pontcysyllte Aqueduct Outstanding holiday from start to end and it was wonderful to come back to a warm and comfy space at the end of a adventure packed day.

The midges - but Deb drops some citronella candles in for us (without us even asking which was so so kind!) If I had to pick a negative the only thing was that It was on the small side but only for our party (but that was not the properties fault!). There were 6 of us (4 children split between the two very comfy rooms and 2 adults) which meant us adults were on the pull out sofa bed so we could stay us after the boys went to bed. There are plenty of lovely comfy chairs in the sitting area but to pull out the bed we had to move stuff which after a long day of hiking up Yr Wyddfa and drives to beautiful Conwy and the splash park in Wrexham was a pain but do you know it was absolutely great to have a comfy bed at the end of the day, which it was.. I slept like a log on that sofa every night and was very grateful for the coffee machine as well!!

A real gem. Very cosy and family- and pet-friendly. With spectacular views and in peaceful location.

The cabin was clear,cabin had all equipment what we neede, included games,cd.

The Cabin was stocked with goodies and had everything we needed for a chilled out weekend The record player was a great addition for chilling in the evenings

We loved having an actual little cabin that day in a hill. When you look out the front windows you are greeted by a gorgeous mountain view. It is so quiet and peaceful there. My dogs had so much room to explore, my son enjoyed the the record player so much. We were treated to everything from the great Nina Simone to the Beatles. The cosiest piece of heaven tucked away and perfect for our family. Our lovely host made sure we got in ok and had many little extras that were so sweet, like the coffee, milk, biscuits and eggs. She checked on us throughout. The gate on the porch was perfect for the pups to have a bit of freedom off leash to hang out outside with us. The blankets on the couch and chairs....ahhhh, perfect after a chilly day on the beach. I can't wait to come back!!

Minor Bit to many flies at night could do with some candles and a fly screen so that we could have sat outside or have the door and windows open
