Rieskapaikka

The apartment is cosy and we were really happy to go back to this warm place every day after being outside in the extreme cold the whole day. The bathroom is clean and comfy, the mezzanine is large enough for 2 people, and the owner is very responsive.

The only downside is that it is a bit far from Rovaniemi (40-50 min), so for someone who wants to explore Rovaniemi several days in a row the commuting time can be tiring. Also there was no wifi, but good network coverage.

It’s warm inside the cabin in the winter. Sauna is great and there is a nice view from the bedroom window.

No essentials in the kitchen, such as coffee, tea, coffee filters, sugar, oil and salt

My friend and I had a lovely stay! It was exactly what we were looking for- the property is in a beautiful, quiet location, and the cottage itself is very homey and cozy. We enjoyed relaxing, making food, spending time in the sauna, going for walks in the area, etc. Sauli and the staff are so helpful and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Would definitely stay at Rieskapaikka again!

it’s nicely furnished. the sauna is great and the view fantastic. the cottage has enough space for two adults and two children. It was warm and comfortable by - 13*C

it’s located between a relatively big road and a railway, ok in winter but could be noisy in summer when the windows are open. No wifi in the cottage does not work at all. Bed linen was not put on the futon mattresses, which is a bit disappointing for a property costing about 170 euros per night.

Amazing cabin, especially in winter, as you can enjoy the sauna and jump into the snow!

very clean and cozy. nice sauna included. view to the river and perfect silence. very nice staff and good restaurant attached. nice lunch cooked!
