"We loved staying at here. Thank you, Sophie for sharing your chalet, which is clearly much loved."

We loved the location of the chalet with its views and quiet location. Although situated next to a minor road it was very quiet, clean and tidy with occasional cars or cyclists riding by. The chalet itself felt very homely/rustic/traditional which we liked. We loved the open plan living / dining space with outside balcony area. Clearly decorated and uniquely styled with love by Sophie (the host). Some boho, rustic design flair throughout the chalet (I loved the forest mural in the separate toilet room!). The kitchen was fine for our needs with plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery available. The bathroom was good too and had an amazing shower (water was nicely hot) and a fab hairdryer. The bedrooms were cocoon like (darker spaces) which were fine for us to get a good night's sleep. Beds were comfy. The 'sauna' was actually a small cubicle in one of the bedrooms which we didn't use but it looked interesting. I think it's run on electricity and heat, as opposed to a steam sauna. For most of our stay we all loved being together in the big living area with it's huge table and rustic benches. Really lovely space which you can see from the photos. Wifi worked well, plenty of plug sockets too. We had to work out the TV which was a little confusing initially but we got there in the end and watched a couple of films during our stay, along with listening to the radio. The area itself is lovely - we enjoyed going into the town for food and a wander. Some lovely shops. We also had a visit to the topiary gardens which even in the rain offered fun enjoyment! Had the weather been a little drier we would definitely have done more at Adventure Valley, just minutes down the road. Highly recommend visiting Dinant (30 mins) drive which is lovely.

We really liked our stay at the chalet very much - there were just a few things we noticed that might help make a difference: - a tea towel and fresh washing up sponge would have been good (we had to use an older, damp sponge - we bought a tea towel in the end) - provide some brief/clearer instructions for the recycling/rubbish ...we got there in the end :) - same with the TV set up but again we worked it out eventually :) - accessing the chalet on arrival via the underneath garage felt a little odd. It's clearly a storage space which we understand is needed but whether something could be done to just make that 'first impression' more enticing would help, especially as it's marketed within a higher price range. - there is another access to use too once you're in the chalet but just go steady on the wooden steps if it's raining. - perhaps also removing old burned out candles (and odd fly) from their holders would be an idea. Overall we loved the decor and thoughtful touches in the chalet :)
