197 Broadside Holiday Chalet near Broads & Beaches

We were so delighted to find the cleanliness and comfort of this little chalet - tiny but perfectly formed. Everything we needed was there. The clubhouse was an added bonus. We went there every evening for a drink and the best food! The staff were funny, welcoming and efficient. We followed a footpath behind the clubhouse which led to Richardsons Boats. Amazing place. To see all those gorgeous boats lined up was a treat. The Museum is just a walk away too. We were sure that would be fascinating too but, as we had such wonderful weather, we chose to take a boat trip along the broads from nearby Hoveton - a marvellous day - highly recommended. On the last day we visited Cromer and were charmed to see a goat. I know we sound like townies but we live in an area surrounded by farmland and livestock! We enjoyed a walk on the pier but the dog didn't like it so we took a stroll along the front and ate fish and chips while ravenous starlings looked on - all the seagulls seem to have moved inland. All in all, we had the best short break weekend ever. We will be returning and, if this chalet is available at the time, we would have no hesitation in booking again. The owners were very kind and easy to reach. We asked lots of questions and they were quick to respond. Thanks so much and hope to see you again soon.

Absolutely nothing! Everything was perfect, in fact exceeded our expectations.

It felt like a home from home - so lovely. Welcome pack was so kindly provided.

The ONLY little thing was wifi access, which we would have paid for.

Beautifully clean. Cleaning products and hoover available to us. Very efficient heating. close to amenities.

Perfect chalet, clean, tastefully decorated, well equipped.

No towels.

The chalet was clean , spacious and fully equipped with unexpected extras . Far more than we expected , Fantastic .

Parking could be an issue

Nothing was open. The website said food, entertainment, and children's park on site. All closed until 7th April. Did not say seasonal. Also said free WiFi. This also untrue. Only available in the closed clubhouse at a cost of £5. When approached men in the clubhouse (owners?) to ask if our children could play in park, they were abrupt and said no it's closed, in fact it was padlocked.

The chalet was beautifully clean on arrival and had everything we needed for our stay. Even a packet of cookies to go with our tea and coffee. We loved the way the chalet was decorated and the homely touches such as th fluffy throws. There was useful local information provided.

It got very cold without the heating on and the onsite facilities were closed, including the children's playground. Obviously, this was due to the fact that our stay was the first few days in April.

The chalet was extremely clean. The heaters warmed the place up within minutes. Kitchen appliances were really easy to use, clean, clear and modern. Comfy bedding and mattresses. Nice little homely touches, we didn't want to leave.

Only thing missing was an iron, wasn't a problem will bring one when we stay next time :)

Great location in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, the lodge might look old fashioned from outside but inside it is lovely, modern, warm and spotlessly clean, there was washing up liquid, biscuits, tea, coffee, sugar, shower gel, hand soap etc etc. Short walks to 2 country pubs and also the local town and Tesco for essentials
