CHThe Cabaña is nice and cozy, the heating worked. The location is nice, but a bit further away from the center of Hornopirén, this means you need a car. Parking is easy.
There is no breakfast or dinner, you need to drive to Hornopirén. The check-in was not perfect. In Booking it is stated that you need to meet in Plaza de Armas, but via WhatsApp we got the information that we had to drive directly and it was difficult to understand that the person responsible for the checking was not at the entrance. You cannot pay by credit card, only cash or bank transfer. And there is no Wifi.

CAWe have stayed at Bajo la Cruz del Sur and for us this place was all about the excellent and dedicated host, Ximena. The accommodations have been already reviewed few times and we leave that part to the other travellers. The local knowledge and the excellent recommendations by Ximena about the places to visit while staying in the area made a unique experience during what is our fourth trip to Patagonia. While the most famous hike in the area is sendero Sierra Nevada, we also suggest you not to miss the recommended short hike La Garganta del brujo. It is a short hike in a beautiful, unique setting and you really feel you are in a remote corner of Chile.
