Mudhouse Zululand

Absolutely perfect for a weekend break, or as a stopover between Durban and Kosi Bay. We saw wildlife ( mostly buck and giraffe) as soon as we got through the gate. Accommodation was quirky and comfortable, had all the basics we needed for a short stay.

It would have been nice to have a plunge pool and some self guided walking trail options, but that's understandably difficult to offer in a wild unfenced camp environment. There are restaurants with pools and game parks a short drive away.

It was the most extraordinary place I was during my travel in South Africa. We spent two nights and we really enjoyed them. The views are amazing, the kitchen and the shower outdoors an experience, the spots where you can relax very well thought. And the story behind the hut! I highly recommend it if you want to feel Zululand in your skin.

Everything!! We loved it. Very nice and friendly owner, who gave us a warm welcome. Very lovely house, with everything you need for a great stay. The nature and animales around the house. Thank you very much for giving us a wonderful time!!!
