Lower Mountains Retreat

Very cosy and had everything you need and more. They’ve thought of everything!

Quiet location, great breakfast supplies, spacious, comfortable bed. It was nice to have the heat on already and music playing.

Nothing really except perhaps going downstairs to the bathroom in the night!

Hugh and Naomi sent me an email with instructions advising that the door was open and my name was on a blackboard welcoming me. There was space for parking, and I had the whole retreat to myself. The place was beautiful and relaxing, Hugh and Naomi have thought of everything, they are very easy going and lovely hosts.

I can't fault the place or the hosts. There was nothing to dislike.

Everything was above and beyond our expectations. Warm and comfortable accommodation despite it being middle of winter. The hosts take great pride in their slice of the mountains and their community. Already planning our next visit.

We cannot find a weekend in our busy calendar to return sooner rather than later.

Quiet, peaceful, beautifully decorated, cozy, relaxed. Linen is beautiful quality. They have thought of everything for you to have a gorgeous stay.

The properly was exactly like the photos. It was a beautiful little house that was clean, cozy and warm. There was excellent attention to detail and we were provided with lots of amenities.

Was a 30-40 minute drive to the shops or into the town. However we enjoyed the drive. Obviously this is not Hugh and Naomi’s fault but just something to be mindful of :)

This house is amazing and beautiful. My partner and I both feel so relaxed to stay here. When we arrived, hosts gave us warm welcome, care about how we feel. Best place to stay if u r going to blue mountain.

We had such a lovely stay here! The loft was just like the photos – very cute and cosy. The upstairs area was perfect for relaxing, and it was easy to keep warm with the reverse cycle air con and the gas heater downstairs. Also, the TV downstairs was pretty big and great for winding down at night. There was a great selection of breakfast options provided, and everything was really good quality. We also appreciated the little touches – fresh flowers from the garden, beautiful plants throughout the space, and a helpful booklet with local tips for exploring the Blue Mountains. Hugh was a fantastic host – really friendly and welcoming – and we were lucky enough to meet his gorgeous dog, Indy, too!

We had a great stay – the place was lovely overall! The only small challenge was cooking, as there wasn't a proper stove, just an electric saucepan, which made it a bit tricky to prepare meals. It also got a little smoky when we cooked dinner, and the fire alarm went off at one point, so we had to keep the windows and door open for ventilation. It would have been helpful to have a few basic cleaning supplies like paper towels and surface spray to tidy up the kitchen afterwards. That said, everything else about the place was great – cosy, well-designed, and really enjoyable to stay in!
