Barrington Barn

Well stocked, good dog walks in area, pretty location. Owner was very friendly and helpful.

Property could do with a bit of TLC, The doors didnt shut very well, some areas could do with a touch up of paint, curtains need a clean, upstairs needs some sort of window covering, which i appreciate may be difficult due to the triangular window, but no covering meant we were woken up very early due to the sun. The area was too rural for us, pub was too far away, no local shop as far as we could find, property located inside garden of main house with no separate enclosed area for dog, owner has reactive dog so we felt we were unable to allow our dog outside to roam incase owners dog was out, this was unexpected as, being dog friendly, we had expected a private area. Located very close to owners house which we had to walk around to get to the property which wasn't a problem in itself, but we felt a bit awkward whenever we went out as we felt we were invading the owners privacy. Local Roads were terrible. Most roads were one track or very agricultural making for very stressful travel. In summary Barrington Lodge was lovely however the area was not right for us.

Beautiful secret cabin in a beautiful garden location. The cabin was well furnished and equipped and had everything I needed and the owner was very friendly but equally respectful of my privacy. Great to sit out in the garden in the evening to listen to the owls and look at the stars. It's also a very short walk to Barrington Court (National Trust) and there is a lovely looking pub in the village, unfortunately I was too busy on this trip to try the pub. Off road parking was useful too!

Janet is a lovely host, ready to help in any way. The Barn is such a lovely place to stay a lovely place to stay. Barrington is such a lovely village

Location is brilliant, and with no mobile reception , it makes for a perfect hideaway. 5 minute walk to Barrington Court is a bonus. The Barrington Boar pub serves the most excellent food too

Apart from the Pub, which is closed on Monday and Tuesday, there are no local amenities

The barn is on a lovely property with a gorgeous, big enclosed garden. The beds were very comfortable.

Because the barn is open with a mesanine floor and windows for the whole wall, the light coming into the house as soon as the sun comes up, woke us all up at 5am every morning. Some thicker/darker curtains would be better, so we could enjoy a lay in 🙂

Nothing this place suited our needs very well .
