Milton Bay Luxury lodge wrapped in exceptional scenery

Nothing - everything was great

We had a wonderful time staying at the lodge. It was a very relaxing place to stay, and everything was very clean and tidy. We enjoyed our stay so much that we didn't want to leave.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Our stay at Milton Bay Luxury Lodge My wife, daughter and myself had one of the most horrible experiences during our stay at this lodge. We reached the lodge at around 9.10 pm on August 5th, 2024. To our surprise, the beds were dirty, the kitchen had utensils all over, the toilets were not cleaned. In short, the room was not cleaned after the previous guests had left. We called Billy and he told us to wait and he will call the cleaner. He mentioned that the cleaner should come in some time. We waited for 40 mins in the hall of the house (not able to use the toilets also, since it was dirty). The cleaner came by 10.00 pm and told us to shift to a nearby lodge for 1 night only. Billy apologised, and said that this is the first time these things are happening. The next morning we were to get the room, only at around 12 pm. We could not even go out for sight seeing till 11 am, since we had to leave our bags in our earlier booked lodge. We left our bags in our original lodge by 11 am (while the room was still being cleaned) and then left out for sightseeing. When we came that evening to our lodge, the room had tissue paper (used for cleaning) in the bath tub, the kitchen closets had packets of food used by the previous residents, cobwebs were seen in the balcony, there was no kitchen roll, utensil washing scrub, shampoo, bathing shower gel. There was no follow up coutesy call or even a message from Billy next day, inquiring whether we were comfortable or not. Thus my rating for the lodge would be: Location with a view: 9/10 Cleanliness: 2/10 Bedrooms: Small size (difficult to comfortably open even a suitcase in the room) Bathroom: only one for 3 of us. (The lodge is for 4 people). Facilities: 6/10 People who book here, can consider the above before booking. I would request Booking.com to REFUND me part of my stay cost, due to all the inconvenience caused to us. A memory we would like to forget soon. Thanks, Saumil Shah

The lodge and the views were excellent. The weather was great, thank you for sorting it out with Mother Nature 🙏😍 We will recommend and looking forward to coming back again.

A fantastic lodge with all mod cons , everything you could need for your stay , clean and cozy! Beautiful views of Loch Tay, surrounded by beautiful countryside birds and even a visit from a red squirrel
