It was clean and very comfortable, a home from home

The neighbours in the adjoining property left the garden lights on all night on 1 night of our stay. A wee bit annoying, but not the end of the world.

We were really pleased with everything here, contact with the hosts was great, keys were easy to locate and we loved that we could go hiking and sightseeing in the day and then come back and relax in the hot tub at night. Also, the hosts provided an unexpected welcome pack of basics to start us off, bread, milk, eggs, butter etc which was so appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

The only complaint that we had was that the wi-fi could have been better, sometimes it would go off for a few mins randomly and could be a little slow at times aswell and we only had 2 phones connected to it. I think a family with a few kids and all their devices connected to it would really struggle.

Excellent property. Delightful, immaculate three bedroom cottage supplied with everything you could possibly need, including a very generous welcome package of food, milk and juice. Private and quiet. 10 km drive from Kirkwall; set in pretty rural area.

The accommodation was beautifully appointed and very well stocked. Finished to a very high degree and plenty of space, a genuine home away from home in an incredible setting. Only 7 minutes from the airport, but zero aircraft noise.

It was very homely and had everything that we needed. Friendly people that were helpful when we needed anything during our stay.

Overall, the property met our expectations. It was clean, warm and comfortable. The welcome basket was a nice touch. The location was excellent.

There was no airer for drying clothes, even though a washing machine was in the house. The hottub was well used, but there was nowhere to hang our damp bathtowels or the handtowel in the bathroom - except on the heated towel rail and that could only accommodate three towels at a time. Both those things were very annoying, as we stayed for several days of a long holiday.

The cottage was very well decorated and had a hot tub to relax at he end of a day with walking. The bathroom has all the facilities for seniors with grab bars, seating in the shower to facilitate safety. There was a clothes line to hang out clothes for drying and the welcome package was so inclusive with cereal, milk , hot chocolate mix, etc. The main bedroom as a good size with double bed and the other two bedrooms had single beds that were smaller but each had a sink. Everything we needed was included.

We had some difficulty getting in because the pin was changed and instructions were sent by email which I was not able go get because my phone was not online in the UK. I did manage to go to the folks who were in the next door cottage and get the mobile number so our guide could call. The owner showed up a bit later and gave us information needed and we got settle in. The weather was not very conducive to drying clothes so a dryer would have helped.

Tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Immaculately clean. Wonderful location, close to Kirkwell. Meet by owner who showed us around his beautiful house. Generous welcome pack.
