Lakeside Tiny House Brienz

Location is great & it was clean.

The kitchen floor has a board loose that was stuck with duck tape. Dangerous as I stubbed my toe. (Place seems expensive to have these kinds of issues.) A board on entry is also loose.

easy to find. host was quick to communicate. (always prefer someone to meet us with the key and that's the only reason 'staff' didn't get 10/10). clean and comfortable. excellent location to get to restaurants, boats, co-op, bank, info centre etc. view of the gorgeous lake from the window. ample paid parking nearby.

nothing to fault. just wouldn't recommend if stairs are not your thing. the spiral stair going up to the bedroom would be tricky for older people.

The parking situation was very complicated. There were three different prices, in 3 different places for what it would be and there was no clear instruction for where to actually park. Booking.com says one thing, the House Rules sheet in the house says another and the home owners gave me a third different answer. When I reached out to them, they were very slow to respond which made it quite frustrating after a long travel day. Clear, accurate instruction here would be very beneficial, especially to those traveling from outside of Europe.

Amazing location, right next to the train station.

1. Giant wasp nest outside the window of the top floor. This was quite an issue as we couldn’t open the windows for long and it made the top floor really stuffy and uncomfortable. 2. Faulty toaster kept shorting the power supply every time we tried to use it. No toast for us in the morning :(( 3. When we entered the property we noticed a part of the wooden floor with duct tape around it. It seems the floor was broken and had been quickly patched up. This wouldn’t have been an issue if the sharp wooden splinter wasn’t protruding out, which cut my toe. This is very dangerous and the accident could have been worse.
