Nicely decorated and cozy. Staff was friendly and kind enough to explain and accommodate to our needs (replenish tissues late at night and storing of luggage).

Sound insulation between upstairs and downstairs wasn’t great. But they only accommodate one group of people per stay so that kind of helps.

It is an old house but with upgraded bathroom amenities and high end products supplied throughout the house so the house still feels comfortable. Beautiful bathrooms wrapping the plants outside. Location is right in the area of old streets and on the path of the lantern festival so lovely festival vibe. Very nice to wake up and see the plants every morning. Very nice host. Particularly appreciate a water station onsite to reduce plastic wastes.

Sound proof - expected as an old house but you hear every movements outside (we had no problem sleeping but might be an issue for light sleepers). Privacy - It is on the path of the local lantern festival and people peek inside, take selfies in front of the house all the time.

The atmosphere, facilities and location were worth the value. My family and I really enjoyed staying in such a great atmosphere.The bookshelves featured 6 many interesting chinese books, I personally loved it! The room and toilet temperature were maintained well by the AC and multiple small fans. The bathtub in the bathroom was great. There was even a tropical garden next to the bathroom. Appreciate the effort made by the host!

The mattesses at the ground floor were too soft to be rested on. Facilities at the upper floor were fine. Music played by the host was relaxing. Just be aware that movements made at the upper floor can be easily heard by people at the ground floor. If you don't plan to book the whole unit, there is a slight chance that people staying at the top might sound like giants living upstairs, which affected your rest and stay. Check with the host before your booking will be the best option. As a family trip, we were aware of our movements and noise made during the night and early morning.
