Whiskey river chalet-Glan Gwna Holiday Park

Location is great with the river view.

Pin for the keypad to get keys was wrong. Contacted hist via phone and message but no response. Luckily a neighbour or caretaker met us and helped us get the right pin to get keys. Also the electricity in the property is prepaid and on the last night it ran out and we had to find it the hard way that it was prepaid. Host should have informed about prepaid electricity or should have kept enough balance for the stay

It was tidy and quiet place. Comfortable bedding. Strong and warm shower. A little bit tricky to wash the baby, as shower head was a bit short. Fridge, microwave, kettle, baby cot was very pleasant to see. River sounds were very calming to have a good sleep, fresh air, door facing river side, beautiful nature view.

Directions were not great. We've found the house number of our property and couldn't find the key box. Host didn't answer the phone and was late to answer my text. So we spent a lot of time trying to get in as figured out into the wrong property with same number. It was sorted in a while, but we lost time and nerves. Kids were tired after trip, crying, hungry, etc. We were hoping to get a good rest before the race. Had to wake up 4am, so every minute was valuable. Was surprised not to see wi-fi, when I was booking that place, it was supposed to be there, wi-fi was the main criteria of my choice. I really counted on that as came with baby monitor, which I couldn't connect to use and had difficulties organising family evening in a comfortable manner. Also I didn't expect not to have towels, had to use our clothes instead to dry every member of our family. If I only knew this in advance, I could bring my own. Time was very limited, we came for a race, hoping to sleep, wake up and run. So didn't have time for emergency shopping.

Needed a last minute deal accessible for dad who has recently had a stroke to celebrate son's bday

Perfect location. Very nice and cosy and clean.

The only thing I can say that toilet wasn't attached to the floor and it was moving. Also no toilet brush.

Cobwebs all over the place. Insects everywhere, sand under pillows in bed, in one room. And white powder on bed in other room. Spiders constantly, not just a few, we put out at least 10 before we had to start killing them. The property was freezing on arrival and looked as if no one had visited in a long time. Sky box but it needs a code and the owner of property does not contact you back. No towels, no hand wash, no toilet roll. Kettle is absolutely disgusting. £260 and I would rather have stayed in a tent!

Cheap and cheerful and we could stay together. Lounge area was nice. Other facilities were adequate for short stay. Good food at the site. Nice clubhouse.

No TV. Only DVD's to watch.

A really lovely spot next to the river. Has all you need for a stay in the area. Pretty decent shower, considering it's electric. Nice big TV. A good location for driving to Caernarfon or getting into northern Snowdonia / Eyri. We didnt try the shop or restaurant but good to see them on site because it's a drive otherwise. Overall, it was really good - just personal preference but could maybe benefit from a ladder up onto the top bunk, & shelf / small table for bedside bits in bunkbed room. Also, we couldn't get the side light by the bunk to work (ceiling light fine). We weren't sure how to operate the WiFi - there was a small 4G WiFi router on the microwave. Overall, a great stay, thanks 😊
