Casa Calimera

El sitio es precioso. Es como una casita de cuento en medio de la naturaleza. Está muy bien cuidado, la casa tiene de todo y está cerca de todo en la isla ya que está en el centro. Tiene calefacción y chimenea y aún por si tienes frío, mantas y edredones extra.

La única pega que le pongo es que aunque la cama era comodisima, las almohadas no tanto. De resto, de 10

Helaas konden we niet direct vanuit het huis wandelen. En het is erg gehorig...

Perfect place, perfect contact and help from the host. For me it was the best place I have ever stayed on all atlantic islands I have ever been. It is 10/10 without any hesitation. If U are looking for chilling in a nice surrounding and in a comfy and nice designed place, in a type of mountain chalet, far from other people in pine forest, yet close to all atractions of the island and utility places eg. supermarkets and petrol station - that's it. U are on the border of national park, in a remote place but only 5 minutes by car to everything U need. If I will come back to La Palma, I won't search for any other place, I will want to come here.

Das Haus ist sehr hüsch und mit ganz viel Liebe eingerichtet. Es liegt mitten im Wald. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Im Außenbereich gibt es für jeden Sonnenstand einen Sitzplatz. Auch innen war es sehr gemütlich, mit vielen kleinen Lampen und schön warm.

Allt var toppen! Läget i Caldera de Taburiente, lagom stort för två personer, bra utrustat kök, rent och välstädat, sköna sängar och tyst område.

Stunning place in terms of the area, the estate, the home and its surroundings. An isolated and peaceful location, surrounded by beautiful nature, high up in the pine forests on a private estate. we loved the mountain views, Wilma the chicken, the privacy, quietness, terraced gardens, facilities inside and outside property, the sheer amount of space / land to roam about on, the beauty of the night sky/lack of light pollution. The house itself had everything you needed to cook, wash and dry clothes and self cater in style. We must mention Eva who picked us up, dropped us off, showed us around and was there to take us back to the bus stop as well as provide any other help we needed such as when the power went down She was invaluable to our stay as we didn't use a car for the trip

The house had heaters in the rooms although it was still quite cold which made it uncomfortable inside a lot of the time. The beds themselves were not comfortable and also needed more bedding/sheets/pillows There was no Wifi during our stay despite some attempts by the owner to fix this. We had a power cut on the first day although this was resolved by the owner within an hour There was a strong smell of soot from the chimney in the house the whole time whilst we were and this was not pleasant. I think it needs sweeping The access to the property is up a long and steep private road which gives great privacy as the gates are electrically operated. However, if you do not plan to drive there or you do not drive, this could cause some issues especially if you have mobility difficulties

Highly recommended! Great located in the middle of the nature. The house has a nice authentic feeling. We had a comfortable staying at Casa Calimera.

Absolutely amazing place to stay in La Palma. Breathtaking mountain views, on the border to National Park Caldera de Taburiente. Not far from main road Santa Cruz - El Paso - Los Llanos, so easy acces to every part of the island by car. House is beautiful, comfortable, equiped with everything you need on holiday. We hope to visit Casa Calimera again for sure and would recommend it to everyone.
