Easy to find and gain entry. Great location with lots of nice touches on arrival, such as thermostat set at just the right temperature and complimentary wine and biscuits. Nicely furnished and cleanliness to a five star hotel standard.

Weather was crap which is out with hosts control.

The lodge is in a beautiful, quiet location. The inside is very clean. It is well equipped with everything you need, and the beds are lovely and comfortable.

A very well-appointed lodge in a great location. Clean, comfortable and perfect for family or friend group. We had great fun with the giant TV. Ideal for dogs. Great walking nearby.(Kippford Reserve dog friendly) Kippford and its 2 dog friendly pubs are only a ten minute walk. Easy jump in car to Dalbeattie for groceries and Castle Douglas a lovely place to potter.

Nothing. It's so quiet. Even though the road is nearby, no traffic noise. There is no noise from the other 8 lodges in the development. So relaxing.

It had absolutely everything we needed. Location was brilliant, was peaceful - spacious and all communications really helpful.

Our single mattresses were really quite uncomfortable - could feel the springs coming through and would really benefit from replacing. But other than that… faultless.

The log cabin is pretty big, more than enough room for the 6 of us, the main bedroom has ensuite which was great for mum and dad, the other 2 bedrooms were twin beds and were a good size, served by a family bathroom, the living area was pretty generous with a good well equipped kitchen and nice dining area, Kippford it's self is a 10 minute walk

Not a lot really but a bit of maintenance is needed the guttering outside the front door was hanging off in a couple of places and pouring water onto the decking and steps making them green and very slippy and the toilet in the ensuite was very slow to fill, but I'm sure that will be sorted come the quieter months

The accommodation was lovely and clean and the beds were comfortable,
