Charming 2 Bedroom Holiday Chalet

The setting was lovely. We had good weather and were able to sit outside. The choice of TV channels which was a bonus as there was not really anything else to do

I have taken a couple of days before writing this. Wendy was lovely and I understand she is ill and that she prepped the chalet for our arrival. Unfortunatley there were a few things that distracted from our stay. Wendy did explain that the Tv was smaller than normal as the main one was broken....ok it did the job. She also explained that the main light in the room was not working but there were 2 sidelights. It also turned out there was no bulb in the small bedroom where my husband was to sleep. In the room the flooring was ripped under a sofa leg. The bathroom was quite (very) small and I struggled to use the toilet due to lack of manouvere room I have mobility issues. We did not use the shower as we only stayed one night although booked for 2. The door to the bathroom was loose and kept falling off when used so we just left it open. The kitchen was galley style and not much space for the limited food we had taken. We bought pizza to cook in the chalet on the first night as the on site pub did not open at the beginning of the week.....this was not the only thing that was not open ..The lighthouse The WW2 bunker but obviously this was beyond Wendy's control. When I went to cook the Pizza there were a few stray (dog) hairs in the hinges . The cutlery was under the sink in a pull out drawer along with the cleaning products. Our main issue was that we were both awake most of the night itching we put this down to an allergic reaction to the soap powder the bedding had been washed in. My husband ended up sleeping on the sofa. We left after the one night as felt we could not have another night of itching. Again I cannot re-itterate what a nice person Wendy was and her communication with us was excellent prior to our stay.

The location was perfect and close to the village. Lovely location with lots of rabbits to watch.

The Location and the Park it is on are excellent.

The Chalet was run down and dirty inside and out, very poorly maintained. There were screwed up sheets and duvet covers in the wardrobes so hardly any space to store clothing. Thick dust on the kitchen shelves. Used dishcloths stuffed under the sink, and cleaning products covered in dust looking like they had not been used for a long time. Chocolate and sweet wrappers under the sofa and table from previous users. Lots of crumbs down the side of the sofa seats. All the floors and worktops were extremely gritty. Lots of rubbish under the chalet, made to look worse by the very tidy chalets surrounding 367.

Beds was comfortable. I had a great night sleep . Had everything you needed for a self-catering chalet. Was lovely to have the added touches like towels and coffee and sugar . It was also lovely they had a great selection of family games . Lovely outside space and area to enjoy the quietness and atmosphere on an evening and great their was seating provided . Easy check in and out with having the key box .

It stated that we would get shower and wash items, and their was nothing left nor any welcome chocolates or anything as stated on the booking . The main large TV was broken and a small one was added but due to WiFi issues on the start of the evening we didn't really get the chance to sign into the TV for entertainment. Also there was a lot of rubbish under the seating area in the living area we noticed . And we found the shower and toilet area are a little on the small side . Especially with myself having disabled needs, it was a little awkward for space .

Nice and quiet, except the seagulls on occasions. Nice area. Nice people around. Beach within a short walk. Kids spent many hours there. Nearby town is very nice with supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, gift shops, swimming pool, and beach. Kids loved the rabbits running around. Area around the chalets very well kept.

Very small bugs present on a couple of occasions off the nearby farms, possibly. Not harmful, though, but place and ourselves got covered in them. More uncomfortable for the children. Didn't last long, though.
