Little Idyll shepherds hut

Wonderfully situated. Quiet, secluded with extraordinary views. We had very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Nothing. It was exactly as advertised and great.

Picturesque, quiet, peaceful, well equipped, clean little hut. Owners were lovely and provided clear guidance how to access the hut. Were flexible with arrival times to meet our needs.

The bed was very high, but there was a stool provided to support access to it.

Location and views.

Our overall experience was very disappointing. On arrival at the agreed check-in time we were unable to enter as the door was stuck, and despite multiple attempts we were unable to reach the owner for assistance. The hut was freezing despite being told it would be pre-heated, and we spent around two hours trying to get the heating working ourselves. The bedding was not freshly presented and had visible hair on it, which was unhygienic. Window ledges and surfaces were dusty, and there was a noticeable damp smell throughout. The property, including the outdoor area, did not reflect the listing photos in terms of cleanliness or overall presentation. Given the price of £165 for one night, we expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, preparation and communication. As this was booked as a quiet getaway, these issues significantly impacted our stay.

Charming accommodation, beautiful secluded location.

Almost perfect but the microwave had crumbs in, and a small electric kettle would be really useful (the stove top one didn't whistle so we kept boiling all our water away).
