The place is breathtaking. It made us fall deeply in love with Guadeloupe. Located in a middle of a jungle with an amazing view. It is very private and made us feel like we were alone on an island. It looks even better then the photos. House is not too big but spacious enough, with two floors and open kitchen. The balcony is big and very comfortable. You can open all the windows around the house and it makes it look and feel like you are one with the jungle. The outside shower is also great, specifically in this weather, the whole outside seating area is very well organised. The host, Fred was also very nice and helpful bur at the same time gave us a lot of privacy. Ps The nearest beach does not have the whitest sand but it is so worth it as you can go swimming with the turtles. Overall 10/10 experience. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

The place is like a tree house--it's on stilts over a hill with an incredible view of the Caribbean Sea and the Jacques Cousteau Reserve (and its islands), not to mention sunsets. Not only do you have two stories of living space, an outdoor dining area with a hammock, and a barbecue grill, there is a separate space with swinging chairs and an outdoor shower. The hosts also had the forethought to install screens in four windows that you can leave open without fear of biting insects (not that we experienced any) and shutters and doors that open on every downstairs wall to allow the cool breeze to flow through the home. Additionally, the chalet is super private, surrounded by trees, with no line of sight to the neighbors or the hosts' home. Not that that would matter because the hosts are the opposite of intrusive. They are there if you need them and very attentive and accommodating but never disturbed our stay. (You might even be lucky enough to hear the talented host play his jazz bass, accompanied by his equally talented guitarist and vocalist friends.) We highly recommend Ayounaka and its wonderful hosts, who speak French, English, Spanish, and more!

We had to leave. Honestly, we spent more time in the chalet than we expected to because it is a beautiful, peaceful place. There is absolutely nothing not to like.
