Lovely town, great accommodation, friendly hosts

The shower taps had an electric current running through them. I contacted Jenny to let her know and she said that she was aware of it, but didn't really say that they were planning to do anything about it. If the taps were sorted out, I would return to this accommodation.

Great hosts , always super clean , accommodating and with everything you need and want in a stay .

It was self catering

Beautiful spacious accommodation, near the main stretch of shops. Beautiful gardens and interior that was really clean and comfortable - a real pleasure to stay in. Wish we'd stayed longer!

Nothing. It was perfect.

Well equipped, clean and spacious. WiFi is good, there’s some rechargeable lights, gas stove and a fireplace which means during load shedding one is sheltered. The host sent some recommendations via WhatsApp daily which is thoughtful. Oh and the bed is super comfy The main gate is on manual, not great for a place that gets so cold and wet most of the time.

I was unfortunate enough to stay at the exact same unit (Yellow wood) I stayed at few months back which has an issue with balancing the water in the shower which we reported upon checkout. Unfortunately the issue is still there, they just wrote down instructions on how to get around it but the instructions don’t help at all. The place has a very small geyser which is set at 45degC, then they have those old metal taps that have zero flow control so what tends to happen is while you’re running the hot water (as per instruction) then you start to turn on the cold water to mix, the geyser runs out in about 3-5 mins tops while standing there trying to get the water right. They need to get the mixer taps and a bigger geyser. That’s a family unit, no ways that 4 people have to shower one at a time with waiting time in between to heat up again. Secondly, the geyser is heated with LPG which sadly ran out late at night on our last night, there was no point reporting it so we had to boil water to bath in the basin that night and the morning of check out. This is unavoidable sadly because gas cylinders don’t really have a marker to see how much gas is left.
