Wiltshire Rondavel

The location

Parking is a problem. Upon arrival, we were told that we could park in the 1 parking area that is somewhat secure behind a gate. But when we got back that night, another guest was parked there, and we had to park in the driveway, which isn't secure what so ever and then the next morning, we were asked to move the car. The rondavel itself smelt damp and musty, and the tiles have mold on.. It's difficult trying to shower as the shower floor is weird and very very slippery and you can't shower when there is loadshedding , we had to go back to the accommodation just so that we could shower because of the loadshedding times,we had loadshedding from 19:00 to 23:30 then 01:00 to 03:20 and then again the next morning at 09:00 . So basically, the whole time we were there, there was loadshedding. The main house has electricity during loadshedding, just not where the guests are. Trying to sleep with no fan while it's hot wasn't pleasant.

Was very comfortable and had everything we needed plus very nice hosts. We actually stayed an extra night.

The gentleman Oom Pa was so friendly and also welcome but the Ouma was so unfriendly bad manners together with with the helper.

There room had no iron and a microwave. The there was a bad smell because of the rain and the mats were smelly.

The property is good, it’s quite, safe and central and good value for money

The fact that the toilet doesn’t have the door so when you poop I can hear everything and smell everything while I’m in bed. So i think a closed door is a necessity.

I did not have breakfast

Electricity power outages / difficult access from street level to rondavel - no fault of resort.
