Petit chalet rustique et bucolique

The chalet is nice , if you like quirky. Its small but has some charm.

The check-in process was overly complicated and we were charged extra for linen. Who ever heard of a bed wi try out linen outside of a mountain refuge.

The chalet is in a very pretty location, surrounded by forest, a walking trail and not far from Champex Lac. Inside the kitchen and bedrooms were very clean and nicely decorated with a cozy ambiance and the kitchen had all we needed. I liked the pellet stove which kept the bedrooms warm and added to the cozy element as it was pretty with the flames. The views from the windows are lovely.

One thing I didn’t like was that the kitchen stayed chilly, but I was aware of that before I came so I brought a little space heater which I used only when I was in the kitchen. It was also difficult for me to take a shower in the cold room.

Once booking is confirmed and paid surprises start to show up; the property is not insulated, there is a need to switch electrical heaters, but you will be charged for. Even with it on we were very cold. Terrible setting for children. Tiny garden by the woods-very unsafe for kids. Very expensive for what it is, not even a single sofa to sit and relax. No tv. Host money oriented. Paid over 350chf per night 2 adults and 4 kids, not even sheets provided. All in all horrible. For the same amount we could have stayed in the hotel in champex right by the lake.
