"An amazing hidden gem that we can't wait to go back to."

We arrived on a wet rainy Saturday afternoon & the hosts had very kindly lit the fire, so we entered a lovely warm cabin, also to our surprise they had laid out in & left in the fridge a lovely cheese & crackers plater, also some fresh eggs for cooking up for breakfast. We really enjoyed the nice quiet surroundings & the lovely cabin.

An absolute gem, we had high expectations after reading the reviews online and must admit even those were exceeded, from the platter, pre lit fire, jumbo sized bed and amazingly quiet location. This place is a must stay. Far better than a generic hotel room. We’ll be back for sure!

"Cosy Home from Home Touches"

Setting and cottage were wonderfully tranquil, was easy to relax here during our break away. Appreciated walking in the door to the cosy home from home touches from the warm fire, that had been lit prior to our arrival. The delicious plater, and the hosts own farm fresh eggs. We had a friendly welcome from Mike to let us know about the extra firewood, hotpool towels, etc. During our 2 night stay we had fun interactive visits from Dot the resident dog, and the chooks! All very charming. Bed was comfortable, and the bedding was beautiful. Kitchen had everything we needed, anything else can be easily bought in Hanmer's four square 5 mins away. We'd arrived with a downloaded movie on our phone, which we watched via the cottage's smart TV one evening. Free view TV available. Loved having no WIFI, nice grounding break away from it 😀
