Dartmoor Cottage

Unique place in the woods at the end of a gravel track. Due to a little confusion, we ended up taking a different cabin than we had booked, but the host was very accommodating about this. Everything worked just fine, the kitchen was well-equipped, the bathroom spacious, living space good, and the upstairs bedrooms also big with good storage space, and comfy beds. The outside areas were also great - oversized decks :) - and the barbecue was also high-standard. It had run out of gas but it took 10 mins for them to come with a replacement. Kitchen roll, toilet roll, coffee filters, washing up liquid - all were provided, which was a nice surpise. Linen was clean and fresh. Lovely walks in the forest directly from the door - the dogs loved it! Very private and quiet.

We missed a drying rack and a few hooks inside to hang coats etc. Especially useful if it rains :) There were quite a few cobwebs, but otherwise everything was really clean. The outside chairs could use a wash. You can't park close to the door of the cabins, so be prepared to make a few trips carrying bags in, if you're staying a while :)

We moesten wennen aan dat het zo stil was, wat ook weer een pluspunt is :) Het ligt erg afgelegen.

Die super ruhige Lage im Wald mit schönen Wegen und überraschend nah zum Meer ist toll. Auf der riesigen Holzterrasse kann man unter großen Bäumen wunderbar entspannen, essen und vieles mehr. In der Gegend gibt es zahlreiche Ausflugsziele.

Dass wir nicht länger geblieben sind.

The area is very beautiful surrounded by nature, horses and the forest, with access to the ocean really close by.

Our family had a super stay here. This place has four identical spacious cabins in two floors built in 2017. Everything looks new and is of high quality, they didn't save on anything here. First floor has a fully equipped kitchen with oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee machine, toaster, dining area, two sofas. Above there are two bedrooms with views, one double and two single beds. All we needed was there, including bed linen, towels, dishtowel, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, and in our case even coffee. The private cabins are well isolated from each others, separated by trees, connected with elevated terraces and walks. To one side you have the ranch and open fields, and to the other is a ridge and woods, with multiple marked walking paths in a nature protected area. There is a childrens playground, and a vegetable garden. The trail starts 50 meters from the house, and continues up to the ridge where there are views over the sea. A couple of kilometers away is the sea. The beach is a nature reserve with bedrock all over, birds and sheep.

I almost didn't rent this place because I was unsure whether there was kitchen, refrigerator, linien, etc.,so I suggest the hosts add that information and some pictures of the interior.

A lovely wooden cabin located in a beautiful and natural environment. Here you can experience a calming and relaxing stay. All is well maintained and equipped. You can find many nice beaches and nature reserves in the closer surroundings as well as restaurants and smaller cities. Bigger cities like Göteborg and Malmö can also easily be reached by car. Perfect with kids as well.
