Permata Beach Chalet

Very nice beachfront location at the quiet part of Juara. The view is unbeatable

Basic chalet, the interior and furniture are outdated, but it’s like that in the most of the stays here. The area is maintained poorly, there’s a lot of mess around. June was nice at first and I was enjoying my stay, but then this happened. I need internet for my work, wi fi was not good in my chalet so June told me I can use the sofa at the reception, but there’s no table, nothing to put my phone on there and it’s hard to have 5-6 calls holding your phone, so I used the balcony of another chalet where the signal was stronger (no one was staying there). I was on my call when their maid came over and started yelling at me “Go go!” I asked if I can finish my call as the wi fi is not good in my chalet, she kept on yelling “No, go! My husband will be uncomfortable around you” (pointing at my outfit, I was wearing long trousers and T shirt). The day I was checking out I was sure I can check out at 12 just like everywhere even they state it’s at 11, but June kept on messaging me I have to respect their rules and check out immediately. After that she apologised for her maid behaviour and blocked me on WhatsApp 😳 I was in shock, as I know that Malay people are really nice. Don’t come here, they don’t respect tourists

The location is just amazing. It's a small chalet with basic equipment but it's what you expect if you read the description. Sublime spot for the price. Also very few people on the beach.

The shower has low pressure and not always hot water. The wifi signal is weak after 6 p.m. when more people use it.

The location right on the beach was amazing. Close to restaurants and cafes.

We had no sink in the bathroom - we could not wash our hands. And could not brush our teeth easy. When we needed help from the staff - a lot of the time they were not there. They never gave us new toilet roll or change towels. Also the place is a bit messy around the rooms. There is plastic trash, and it looks like a backyard of their living place full of different stuff like metal, wood and random stuff. Also the wifi did not reach our room. We had to go outside and away to reach wifi. Hammocks under the pamtrees are completely broken and you almost fall through them. This place has so much potential with the location but they are just letting it go unfortunately.

June was an amazing host very helpful. Lovely snorkel trip organised. Location is amazing

No tap in bathroom and sand flies on beach but this can't be helped

The location was good, the staff took care of finding a cheaper taxi when we left. I thank them for that. There was a very beautiful view of the sea and the sunrise.

Behind Shalee was black. Palm leaves and coconut shells floated right next to the balcony.

The location is amazing. The bungalows are right next to the beach, which is incredible. I really enjoyed my stay and found it extremely relaxing.
