Kuaotunu Chalets

Fantastic hosts and a beautiful surroundings made for a fantastic few nights in this cute getaway from the city

Second time we have stayed and it is still as great as the last time. Love the waterfall and view

Would love some bathroom essentials/emergency kit. Driving 30min to the local supermarket makes it a little tricky when you need little supplies like that immediately.

The peacefulness and tranquility away from all the kaos, with the special treat of glowworms and a waterfall on site.

Minimal cooking facilities, otherwise perfect

The location and character or the accomodation

There was pretty much no ocean view as described on the booking. But apart from that it was wonderful.

The remote location. Quirkiness of log cabin. Really good heating. Comfortable beds.

Cobwebs in bedroom. Lounge furniture not adequate for four people. Freezer was iced up, difficult to put things in. No storage for clothes, had to live out of our suitcases. Scary road in, worried about grounding the car. No lock on toilet or shower room.

Lovely Chalets. We stayed at Cuvier. I loved the fragrance of plants and flowers surrounding our carpark and the chalet. The lovely wooden house with staircase to our rooms gave us an adventure vibe. The toilet and bathroom are separated which saved us time. The instructions given to us are very clear. It's nice to know that there is a lovely cafe and a restaurant 4 minutes drive away as cooking is not our speciality. A nice location for a start of a trip and a getaway. Cheers!
