The Carriage House 1836

Never stayed property was in a bad neighborhood and no entrance to get to the property when I called her she was very rude and said I had to go into an alley to get to the property. Did not feel safe in the area so we did not stay owner told me I would not get my money back. That I should have let her know sooner, I just arrived how could I let her know sooner. Definitely not in Amish Country, last time using booking.com.

Everything was just as described . The location was easy to find, the beds super comfy and overall just delightful. Loved hearing the birds chirping in the morning as we awoke :) Jennifer , I really appreciated all of the communication about our rsvp, arrival and checkout. Thank you. also for the wine and snacks and coffees. Dan, thank you so much for your assistance, whether checking in, parking, tips and info on the area and for building a fire for us. Would simply point out to potential renters that there are several steps to getting to the 2nd floor rental unit- not a problem for us however.

very close to downtown. the scenery was inviting and relaxing with a screened in sitting room for the evening and morning. morning coffee and evening dinner.

the only detractor was the stairs. the wife has a bad foot and struggles with them.

Loved the decor, was super clean and the bed was so comfortable! Wonderful place to stay for an Amish country weekend. It was within walking distance of a downtown area with many shopping and eating options.

Trash pickup outside at 5:40 AM was not the most pleasant of awakenings. But realistically it is tied to time of the week and a necessary part of life that is out of anyone's control.
