"Lovely cabin on the hillside"

We stayed in one of two separated cabins. It was a lovely little cabin with good kitchen facilities if you want to self cater while there and a good deck to relax on. Walkable distance to Fort Augustus village centre. Very kind and helpful hosts, would definitely recommend Hill Cottage Cabins.

Everything. This little cottage lodge is full of warmth, comfort and style. The views are outstanding and the accommodation unbeatable. This accomodation I would come back to and I'm usually all about trying new places.Thank you so much for the stay. Gem of a place and it will be saved on our locations. Thank you So much Phil and Sue. I will miss coming back to the lodge tonight and I am a little sad to be leaving.

We didn't not like anything... everything and more has been thought of and addressed. Things we didn't even think we needed were provided. Lots of useful leaflets and information prepared by the hosts and really can not find a fault.

"Great base for exploring the wonderful Highlands. Clean, massive bed, compact cabin. Great hosts!"

We contacted the owners to give them an ETA - later than we expected. Sue came out and met us in the poring rain - bless her! She had put out 2 different pieces of very yummy cake - much appreciated! The bed was the size of a small country - I needed a passport to reach my husband!! We needed help tuning in the TV (disconnected connections by last guests) from Phil, who turned out to be a font of knowledge on all the best places in the area to visit, and which roads/routes to avoid. We would highly recommend future guests ask for his advice - he knows the area inside out!

The inside seating - BUT, that is because of MY mobility issues and our ages (70). We would have preferred the table at a lower level with more padded seating. However, this issue would not be a problem for younger people and the seating would be quite comfortable for them.

Everything you needed was provided, even tea, coffee and sugar in case you missed the shops. Easy to locate and a really nice walk into the town.
