Lights were hard to understand how they worked, towels were cheap and rough

Luxurious property with a beautiful view, good location near leknes. Very well constructed property and fully equipped.

Retrieving the house keys from the key box outside was a bit of a problem at the start but we worked it out

This house is a wonderful base to stay at and to explore the Lofoten Islands. It was all very clean, quite well equiped and has also super comfy beds. It is even cozier than on the pictures. 💙

1 - The address doesn't lead you to the right spot. So when you put the address into Google maps it will not lead you to the house. You won't even be able to see it in the dark. Make sure to put in "Lofoten Basecamp" into Google maps and you'll get there super easy. The address is: Skreda 37, Leknes. 2 - it would really be nice if separating trash would be made possible, as it is standard for Norway. This wonderful place should be protected by each and everyone. #cleanuplofoten 3 - the Sauna is not a finish sauna, as you might expect. It's a biosauna, as it only heats up to 60 degrees, what is not enough to dip into a fjord afterwards. Would have been nice to know, as a included Sauna (90 degrees) was a main criteria to me. The outdoor sauna belongs to Lofoten Basecamp and can not be rented.

Great central location for exploring Lofoten. Amazing views direct from the very cozy hut.

It would have been nice to have separate trash, recyclables and compost, however it's unclear how much of this depends on the landlord and how much depends on the community not recycling, so this did not affect my rating of the hut itself.

The wifi/internet is so bad, especially in the upstairs. The address do not match the one in google maps, if you follow the navigation, you will reach someplace right next to it, but in a dead end. Lack of good ventilation in the toilet upstairs. The two sleeping rooms upstairs are very small and low. Lack of dishwasher tabs.
