Geweldig rustig plekje in de natuur

Er waren veel muggen

Vriendelijke ontvangst en een bescheiden maar comfortabel huisje. Er stonden diverse levensmiddelen ( bier,eieren,jam, boter, beschuit, koffie en thee gratis ter beschikking. Geweldige ervaring.met een prachtig uitzicht

Het 2 persoonsbed staat in een nis (kan niet anders) Ik had een beetje moeite om daar in/uit te komen. Maar dat is slechts enig persoonlijk ongemak. De rest uitstekend

The chalet is on a farm, the views all around are amazing - there is unobstructed view towards the fields on one side and the beautiful horses on the other. There is a fireplace in, which warms it up super quickly and adds an unbeatable cozy feel. The chalet is small but you have everything you can possibly need for a few days stay. And the hosts are lovely so I am sure they would accommodate any other reasonable requests. What I loved the most was the company of animals: the horses, the dog, chicks, sheep. There were also a couple of cats who, alas, never came close to me as they were way too busy having fun in the fields, so I just enjoyed watching them from afar. Winsum is beautiful too: the canals, the churches, the houses. No wonder it is rated the most beautiful village in the country. The location is great for a starting point to explore the area: Pieterburen, Groningen, Lauwersoog, the Wadden Islands are very close and so worth visiting.

The WiFi can be better - it was hard to get a signal. Which can be considered as a positive too if you want to stay offline. During the first night there were some noises which I perceived as a little startling - the natural noises a wooden house is making when it is windy and rainy sounded unnatural to me coming from a town and being alone.
