Awaawa Yurts - Papa Yurt

It was a unique stay, we loved being able to open the roof of the tent to see the stars. It was a great location, a bit more quiet off the road with a lovely view but also private. Extremely close to the nearest bus stop so very easy to get around. Loved how there was a horse in the paddock in front and a mixed view of ocean plus farm land. We crossed paths with one of the owners during our stay and he was very friendly.

There were a couple of spiders webs around and outdoor cockroaches were every where on day 1 but a can of fly spray is provided and the bugs didn’t bother us too much, we know the tent can’t keep them all out. I would suggest putting in an ecomist which may stop the bugs coming inside in between guests.

Amazing scenery, friendly and very helpful host

The setting was lovely! We enjoyed listening to the birds and the horses nearby. The yurt was so comfortable and cool at night. The bathroom was really nice, clean, and well equipped. We appreciated the plates, utensils, and glasses. It was such a wonderful three nights in the yurt! Thank you!

As it was 25-27 degrees, the afternoons and early evenings were incredibly hot. Fortunately, there was a tree that provided some shade, however, an umbrella or another form of shade is required for the summer months. A QR code for the compendium would be great!

Beautiful location and responsive hosts. Comfortable beds and well equipped

The showers were a bit temperamental. The first night it did not give us any hot water however the host acted prompted to offer us alternative accomodation or to refund us. We were then moved to a differnt room which did have hot water, however the shower was a little difficult to use - being very hot or very cold.

Was such a beautiful view breathtaking. Couldn't recommend enough. Thanks for the best honeymoon.

This was a amazing place to stay!!!! The only thing that was disappointing was the showers didn't work it was either freezing cold or burning hot. The owner tried to solve the problem letting us shower in the other yurt although that shower was better but still not great.
