Luxury accommodation with a fireplace and indoor braai. Solar meant that one could forget about loadshedding and just enjoy the stay.

A great find in Riebeek Kasteel. Phil was always available, making check in a pleasure. The facilities had everything needed to ensure a relaxed visit. Hope to be back in summer.

There was absolutely nothing I didn’t like about this property. The decor and quality of everything are just top class! Our stay there was 100% enjoyable. We can definitely recommend Blaauw Cottage, it is superb comfort at an affordable price.

The wood provided doesn’t really give a good fire to braai on.

We loved everything about Blaauw Cottage in Riebeek Kasteel. An hour’s drive from where we live in Bloubergstrand. Modern , well thought through layout including the finishing touches. We will definitely be back next year ♡

Wonderful, welcoming, stylish. Very well equipped even though we were not planning to cook. Electric blankets were very much apreciated on a cold night!

Liked everything

The ambiance, quality of facility and all the beautiful finishings. The thoughtfulness in all the little items like the coffee and rusks, sweet smelling room mist, electric blankets and heating and the beautiful garden. It was a really great location to get ready for my wedding with lots of options to make some really nice pre wedding photos. I'm very happy with our choice to use Blaauw and would highly recommend it. All service providers who arrived seemed to enjoy the space too.

Instructions on how to use the indoor fireplace. The fire kept dying after we closed the door to the fireplace. The one host thought that my wedding day was my day to leave and sent a message asking me to share when I have left and I needed to clarify things with him which was one more thing to do when it was time to relax and get ready.

Spacious and well equipped. Nice little touches including the sherry on the kitchen counter. Loved the sunny garden and plunge pool as well as the wood burning fire. The place felt secure too.

Riebeek Kasteel is a lovely, small village and the Blaauw Cottage a very pleasant, centrally located overnight option. The cottage is in a closed safe area, a bit away from the street and the village center in walking distance. The cottage has 2 bedrooms with attached bathrooms, a living room included kitchen with all needed equipment. In addition a winter garden / brai place and a beautiful garden around witth a small pool. in front of the house is a safe place to park the car. The beds are very comfortable and the cottage was spotless clean. We can highly recommend the cottage and will be back when visiting Riebeek Kasteel again!!!
