Whakaipo Bay Cabin Retreat Taupo

Great quiet luxury cabin to get away from the hustle and bustle for a few days. Just relax with a drink in the impressive bath tub and listen to all the different birds in the surrounding native trees, or sit in front of the log fire without a worry in the world. It has everything you need, and more. Amazing hosts, 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

A very helpful host. Place was very clean and having the fire place in winter made it very cosy. It had a great view out towards lake Taupo.

The neighbour was doing a bit of earthworks with some machinery but the disturbance was minor.

The hosts were excellent and provided all the information required for our stay. The view was amazing and overall a very enjoyable experience.

The compost toilet took us awhile to get used to.

loved the location being no where near a town. the cabin hhaa everything you need. bath tub is huge and so is the shower space. is a very clean space with a good fire for the winter months

toilets a long drop. all though there’s a constant fan I’d rather not have to look down there while urinating. double glazed windows are big and beautiful and keep it warm but the take away the reception from inside. nothing major though

Cosy with beautiful views. Nice outdoor area and indoor woodfire. Comfy bath for relaxing.
