AUNZWe loved everything about this place. It felt really spacious despite its size and had absolutely everything that we needed. Right next to the forest so we were able to walk there every day. We would definitely stay here again.

NZThe extra space was great , located out of town so not a lot of street noise . Coffee machine was good to have .
Needs some R&M , bit of a tidy up to get it back to tip top condition . Ensuite shower needs attention the tray is cracked . Button pulled on the bed 2 head board . Tacky fly type screen on French doors . Either there was a mouse in the place or was still there when we stayed not sure but was mouse poop in the bathroom . Could hear the neighbour’s through the wall in bed 1 . Beds a bit hard for us .

USOur stay was nothing short of amazing, truly exceeding all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality that made us feel right at home. The accommodation itself was immaculate, offering all the comforts and amenities we could possibly need for a relaxing getaway. What truly took our experience to the next level, however, was the surprise addition of a Weber grill. This top-notch grill became the centerpiece of our evening gatherings, allowing us to cook up some incredibly delicious dinners. The quality of the grill ensured that every meal was cooked to perfection, adding a special touch to our stay that we hadn't anticipated. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness in providing such a high-quality grill for guests' use really stands out. It's not just about the accommodation itself, but also about creating memorable experiences, and in this case, they succeeded wonderfully. Overall, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you're looking for a comfortable and memorable stay with the added bonus of being able to enjoy fantastic grilled meals, this is the place for you. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
NZNZFantastic little house in a row of 4, close to the walks with a great little Cafe just around the corner. Really well supplied kitchen with appliances, cookware etc. Good sized bedrooms. Cute little outside area. Host is fabulous to deal with. House was spotless, probably the cleanest private house I've stayed at. We travelled at Christmas, so Ohakune in general was very relaxed and quiet.
As it was summer we had to deal with the ninja bugs that seemed to dodge fly spray no matter how much we used! But that's just nature being so close (forest walks are literally at the end of the road) so not a reflection on the house. Just be armed and ready to battle the flies and other flying things if it's hot 🤣
