Wasabi Wonderland, Boutique Chalet sleeps 10

One of the best AirBnBs across Myoko, best for big groups esp with kids. Lots of things to do within the house post slopes

Cool, Fun, tastefully dressed Chalet to enjoy with family.

Although we understand it is not easy to clean perfectly a large place, especially in the middle of nature; we thought too many things had been overlooked (ex: a towel left hanging in the front staircase as you come up the front door, super greasy wine glasses, days old dead bugs, an old used bandaid, trash in toilets’ rubbish, dirty used wipes & sponges hanging around, very dirty windows/mirrors, and More..). Sadly for us, Pans & pots were too damaged and overused to even attempt cooking anything in it. Not what you expect from a place like this. Although the manager & owners were communicating well enough at first, the answer given for the lack of cleaning were turned in a way that made us feel like we were probably exaggerating. Not something you expect when I was already spending(wasting) my time reporting it as there were too many things we discovered not up to standard. Did they provide a service before arriving? Yes Did they answer our complaint? Yes. Appropriately? I don’t think so. I am not writing bad stuff because I hold a grudge, but I hope this is a good reminder that in the service industry, care is everything. Customer is Not always right, but Care should always be first. (It says a lot when we have way more pictures of dirty “anything” than pictures of the place or ourselves enjoying the place).

Scenic setting, cosy and comfortable. The decor created a lovely vibe. Staff were excellent and very helpful.

Sicher aufgrund des feucht warmen Klimas etliches Ungeziefer im Haus. Sehr viele Würmer mit Chitinpanzer und Schaben.

Great chalet in a fantastic location. We had two families with 3 kids and i really cant fault our stay. The entire chalet is much bigger than expected, the kitchen and living areas are really functional, perfect after a long day on the mountain to relax with amazing views of the surrounding valley. There is a huge drying room for ski gear and ample storage throughout. On arrival we met the host who gave us a rundown on the chalet, Akakura town and surrounding areas. We rented a car from Nagano which I highly recommend as its easier to drive into the center of town with ski gear plus there are plenty of other good mountains in the area.

Wasabi Wonderland was like walking into a chalet you see in the movies. It was beautiful and comfortable. All the furnishings had an attention to detail that was noticeable. The different layers of the house created almost an ‘adventure’ inside the house. The scenery was spectacular. Matt and Jen were great hosts and nothing was too hard - including helping us to take our daughter to the local hospital with a translator.

Nothing that we can note.

It is a wonderland with a lot of facilities suiting different people’s need.

There is some small insects but it is quite normal as it is located in a natural environment
