Chalet "de Hazelnoot" te Diever

de locatie viel wat tegen en het uitzicht op de foto lijkt het toch heel anders dan in werkelijkheid

De ligging is perfect. Zo het bos in. Rustig kamp. Alles was aanwezig. Was schoon, goed bed, comfortabele meubelen. Wat we wel gemist hebben is een emmer / dweil en een stofdoek, als je 14 dagen verblijft wil je wel wat kunnen schoonmaken. Voor de rest geen opmerkingen, alles was prima.

The chalet was absolutely lovely. We felt it was spacious and well equipped, with plenty of room for a few people to relax in the main space. The open kitchen and dining area really gave the place an open feel. Everything was clean and well maintained. The outdoor furniture meant it was very easy to enjoy the summer weather while the bushes and trees gave the property a decent level of privacy and shade from the sun. I fully recommend this chalet for a short break or week's family holiday. The location in fact was a big plus. Surrounded by trees on the edge of a woodland national park, the chalet is in a great location for hiking and cycling. Bus stops are located not too far away on the main road, while the chalet park main building has a restaurant and swimming pool, as well as outdoor activities for children. Not to mention, you're half an hour away from Assen and just under an hour from Groningen by car. Just an amazing place to stay for events or a family trip!

Ok, so the main thing we really missed was air conditioning. This was a really hot couple of days when we visited and it was very difficult to keep cool, especially without letting insects in. Air conditioning of some sort would really improve the Summer experience. I'd say the only other thing would be the lack of a safe. It is just nice to have a secure place to store important documents like passports or just travel money. These are minor issues and I feel the property is such a pleasant place and such good value for money, that I would still happily recommend it.

Location is perfect for hiking. You can easily walk to Diever. There is a bus stop at the entrance too. House has everything you need to spend a few days. Nice kitchen with oven,dishwasher microwave and 2 coffee machines. Beds are comfortable and it is a calm and quiet area.
