Chalet Itomic M - Mountain view -

Die Aussicht über den See war toll und es gab viele Zimmer für unsere Gruppe.

Es gab in den Zimmern keine Klimaanlage und die Betten waren eher unbequem. Die Einrichtung war allgemein schon älter.

The view of Mt Fuji was awesome

So many steps but worth the hike for the view

The view was fantastic, can see mt Fuji (when weather allows). It was also very roomy. The onsen was awesome, big and view. Ping pong table was a surprising hit with the kids.

It is about a narrow windy 6 story climb from the garage to the front door, which was difficult with heavy bags. From the town (bus stop) it is 700m long and elevation gain of 60m, recommend car or taxi. The kitchen didn't have a kitchen knife. Also no bowls larger than rice bowls. Half the beds were hard, I could feel the springs through them. As advertised all the beds are singles, but why not make at least one a queen. The bedrooms are also far apart as the two flights of stairs are at opposite sides of the house. Not great if you have small children.

View and table tennis

The house was VERY dirty, hair on the linens, not cleaned properly specially bathrooms, not enough supply of necessary stuff like toilet paper etc. I have reported to the management team, hope they will do better…

The house itself is amazing: very big, incredible views, and well prepared ( you can find there everything you need: kitchen appliances, kitchen stuff, entertainment things such as a ping pong table or games)

The house is not very comfortable: the access from outside is difficult, with lot of narrow and unstable stairs. The rooms are spread on 3 different floors with only one bathroom (for all the people) at the ground floor. This means you need to climb many stairs before reaching out the toilet (There was a second toilet but it was out of order). This situation gets particularly challenging if you want to use the toilet at night. Also, the apartment was not very clean. The bathroom was not clean, and the futon in the Japanese room neither. Finally, there are lot of insects outside that also enter inside the house, especially big spiders, but I understand this is completely normal in the countryside.

Amazing property, we absolutely loved our time here. It's set on the side of a hill overlooking Hakone, the view frames the gates and Mt Fuji perfectly. It's set in a forest and I startled a deer while taking photos from my balcony in the early morning, majestic! I will be back, totally loved the Hakone region!

I'm fit, but I could understand suitcases + stairs being an issue for some visitors.

great view

There is no way anyone with a physical disability can stay here. There are so many steps to even get to the house. plus three stories of steep stairs indoors. The house had a musty/mould smell in the bedroom, and we found that the third floor bathroom leaks into the bedroom below it. There were huge spiders everywhere too. Stairs are slippery when raining. Stove doesn’t work without batteries (not supplied). So very disappointed with this house, we checked out early. Staff were great and organised a refund.
