Four Huia

Wonderful cozy accommodation with everything you need. It’s located higher up, so you have a great view over Oneroa. On the other side it’s not far away from Little Oneroa Beach, you easily reach it in some minutes. I liked the small details (on the terrace was a warm welcome and my name and on the milk was a “MOO” with scrabble stones). The hosts are very nice and helpful, so I was driven to the supermarket and at the end of my travel to the Art Gallery. It was also possible to check in earlier so I had more time from my first day. I would definitely book this accommodation again.

For me the accommodation was just perfect.

The location was fantastic - only a 1km walk into the Oneroa town, 100m to the main road on the bus route, and a short walk to the beach. Astrid has thought of every detail and it was like a treasure hunt finding all of the little thoughtful touches they've included. So much loving thought and care has gone into this place. It is a home away from home set on top of a hill with a beautiful view of the sunset and gorgeous gardens. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Four Huia to anyone looking to stay on Waiheke Island.

We took our own breakfast but there was muesli and milk and eggs available and orange juice so all our needs were adequately met! The location gave us a great view and the trees behind were beautiful. We made use of the free transport for Auckland senior citizens using buses, ferries and train and "shanks pony" (ie walking) from and back to home. Even though the weather was wet we used the time to relax and read and do puzzles and we also played a couple of games which we found in the games drawer. Plus some TV viewing.

Location and hosts

The location was great, an easy walk down to Little Oneroa and Oneroa. It was nice and quiet with a private yard.

Would have loved an oven but otherwise great.

We loved our stay at Four Huia! All the little items that were set out for us made us feel so welcome.🙂 Milk, OJ, butter, water in the fridge on arrival. There was tea, coffee, and cereal handy. The bed and bed-linen were superb. The hosts, Astrid and Marcus were wonderful - friendly and very helpful. We highly recommend Four Huia.

It is very comfortable with a great layout & comfy bed. The host was lovely & came & said hello when we arrived. Great location as walking distance to Oneroa township (down a hill… but be warned, you will need to walk up it back!)
